Montepulciano d’Abruzzo (cantina TOLLO) Abruzzo (Tollo - CH) - DOP
UVE: 100% Montepulciano. Ruby red in color with purple highlights. On the nose, aromas of blueberry and blackberry are followed by notes of damp earth and balsamic hints. The palate is perfectly balanced by the fine tannins and refreshed by an innate acidity that makes it pleasant and drinkable.
Lambrusco di Sorbara Amabile (CAVICCHIOLI) Emilia Romagna (S. Prospero - MO) - DOC
UVE: Lambrusco Sorbara 70% and Lambrusco Salamino 30%: A lively, cheerful sparkling wine. Intense ruby red color with purple hues and a lovely pink mousse. Notes of raspberry candy, wild violets, humus, and freshly cut grass. Excellent with appetizers, especially those from the Romagna region.
Primitivo (masseria SPACCAFICO) Puglia (Salento) - IGP
UVE: 100% Primitivo. Ruby red with a purple crown, it has an elegant nose of cherries in brandy and blackberry jam, with notes of blood orange along with nutmeg and balsamic and menthol wafts. On the palate, it is savory and full-bodied, warm and present with a tannic note and mineral flavor.
Altair Riserva (PETRA POTENS) Lazio (Valle di Comino – FR) - DOC
UVE: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Inky hues, a prelude to great concentration. A dominant, soft palate underpinned by freshness and tannins. A long, unforgettable mineral finish. In mythology, Altair means "eagle in flight." Ideal with meats, cured meats, and cheeses.
Brunello di Montalcino (Castello BANFI) Toscana (Montalcino - SI) - DOCG
UVE: 100% Sangiovese. Aromas of dried fruit, with notes of sultanas and cane sugar. Full-bodied, with ripe tannins and intense notes of chocolate and coffee. Extraordinarily concentrated. Ideal with meats, roasts, and aged cheeses.
Montefalco Rosso (ARNALDO CAPRAI) Umbria (Montefalco – PG) - DOC
UVE: 80% Sangiovese and 20% Sagrantino. With an intense ruby red color, it has a fruity bouquet. Well-structured, it presents soft tannins on the palate with a lingering aftertaste. Pairs well with aged cheeses, red meats, and grilled meats.
Morellino di Scansano (MAREMMALTA) Toscana (Scansano - GR) - DOCG
UVE: 95% Sangiovese and 5% Ciliegiolo. On the nose, it presents intense spicy aromas of freshly ground pepper, along with sweet fruity notes of black cherry and hints of eucalyptus. On the palate, it is lively, lean in freshness, and supported by a just the right amount of savoryness that leads to a lingering clove note.
Chianti classico Riserva (S. Giorgio a Lapi) Toscana (colline del Chianti) - DOCG
UVE: 100% Sangiovese. An intense color with hues ranging from red to garnet. Its aroma exudes a vibrant soul, with lively fruit first notes, followed by tobacco and spices. The balanced, complex tannins make this wine elegant and refined, with a richly flavorful aftertaste.
Nero d’Avola (Tenute NICOSIA) Sicilia (Trecastagni - CT) - DOC
UVE: 100% Nero d'Avola. Ruby red in color with garnet highlights. Persistent fruity aromas, balanced with hints of spice and vanilla. Pairs well with red meats, cured meats, and aged cheeses. Considered a blending wine due to its high alcohol content.
Cannaiola Vignola (AZIENDA AGRICOLA SAN LAZZARO) Lazio (Lago di Bolsena- VT) - DOC
UVE: 100% Cannaiolo Nero. One of the oldest cultivated grape varieties, especially widespread in Tuscany. Ruby red in color, it has an aromatic and persistent nose with aromas of rose, violet, cherry, and blackberry. On the palate, it is smooth with sweet undertones and a bitterish aftertaste.
Barbera d’Alba (BATASIOLO) Piemonte (vitigni di La Morra) - DOC
UVE: 100% Barbera. Ruby red in color with purple highlights. The nose is intense and persistent, with vinous, fruity, and vegetal notes. On the palate, it is dry with good acidity and very delicate tannins. Considered the Piedmontese wine par excellence, it pairs well with all meals.
Cannonau di Sardegna (ARGIOLAS) Sardegna (Serdiana - CA) - DOC
UVE: Cannonau with small additions of cardinal and bovale. Intense ruby red color with garnet highlights. Ample aromas of Mediterranean fruit, with subtle hints of black pepper and fragrant vegetal notes. Excellent with red meats and game, cured meats, and aged cheeses.
Panta Rei (CASATA MERGE’) Lazio (Monte Porzio Catone - RM) - IGP
UVE: Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. A deep, impenetrable red in color. A bouquet reminiscent of berries, blackcurrants, and black cherries, on one side, and red pepper on the other. Pleasant on the palate, it expresses character and harmony with the pleasantness of its present tannins.
Nebbiolo (BATASIOLO) Piemonte (Vitigni di La Morra CN) - DOC
UVE: 100% Nebbiolo. Bright ruby red in color, it offers aromas of cherry and raspberry with balsamic notes of licorice and oak. Medium-bodied on the palate, with refined tannins and a nice acidic-savoury balance. Excellent with pasta dishes with meat sauce.
Barolo (BATASIOLO) Piemonte (vitigni di La Morra) - DOCG
UVE:100% Nebbiolo. Intense garnet red color. Aromas highlight dried fruit, flowers, sweet spices, toasted notes, and herbaceous aromas. On the palate, it offers a perfect balance of tannins, freshness, and alcohol content. Enjoyed with red meats, game, roasts, and flavorful cheeses.
